Today I was in a I-don't-give-a-damn-about-anything mood, and quite frankly, I still am. I get home and decide to push everything aside and play my xbox. Some people that know me find it surprising that that I LOVE sports. (I never thought that I was talented enought to play them in high school, so I just play them on video games and watch them on TV.) I turn on the xbox and start playing my NCAA Football game. (I play as Kentucky, of course.) I start up a new season playing against EKU: I win that game easily. I then have to play Cincinatti and it was a close one! I was down at halftime and I thought I would just start over when I was like "NO. I can do this!"
I had thrown an interception, a couple more stupid errors, threw the controller, and yelled a couple of profanities...Just when I thought I had the game won, they scored! So with less than a minute left, I threw a hail-marry and SCORED! I had done it! I came back and won the game! I was very proud of myself to say the least. I noticed that my heart was POUNDING so I took my blood pressure and it was 150 over 90 with a pulse of 105.
I can't believe I get all wraped in a video game! I always made fun of others that got all into games and here I am doing the same thing...Oh well. It was fun!
Any gamer would understand. Why do people cry while reading a book or watching a movie? It's the moment. Video games just tend to bring out more excitement and maybe a little anger, than books or movies.
